From a Cloud Header

This post will not only christen this blog, but it will also underscore the meaning of a cloud header. Who is a cloud header? Well, the short answer is: you, me and everyone. We all go about our daily routines of work, school, networking, parenting, and myriad other things, but our heads eventually roll up into the clouds, where, apparently, they don't belong. Sometimes I sit at work and think about the time I'm wasting. At school, I would think about the characters in the books I read that had adventures and I wondered why life couldn't be like that. You get older and realize that life is an adventure, just not necessarily the one you had in mind. So I want people to share their adventures here, because I'm a bit afraid of what happens when you keep them inside.

For the past...six months, I have been looking for a job. Obviously, my mind rolled a bit farther into the clouds than it usually does because I decided to start a blog while I created cover letters
. I feel a bit guilty about it, but I knew that if I didn't do it I would keep thinking about it. Besides all the problems with the recession, I studied Journalism so ha, ha, joke's on the media grads. As a result, the cover letters have largely gone unnoticed, but maybe this blog will fare a bit better. My family is the support system that has kept me afloat, and I dedicate this to them, though they'll never know it. As a recent graduate I know that I know nothing. But I welcome knowledge - that is the stuff of life. Drop me a line, cloud header, and let people know what stuff makes up your life.

I started this blog because I wanted a place to put all these meandering thoughts - just to try and clear my brain out - a cerebral garage sale, if you will. I welcome you to do the same. Post your thoughts, vent about what you would really like to spend your time doing (or who), but keep it semi-clean, mind you. My aim is to have monthly topics, but I am a random person, so expect the unexpected. My interests this month include Wimbledon, the World Cup and the new Pandora station I created with Armik as the seeded artist. I'm listening to it right now as I write this and watch Uruguay v. Netherlands in the World Cup. My parents are from Central America - so you know who I'm rooting for. I enjoy reading, working out, music, and, of course, writing. I spend a lot of time with my head in the clouds.
